Collaborating for improvement on diagnostic imaging

Collaborating for improvement on diagnostic imaging

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care is undertaking a consultation on safety and quality in diagnostic imaging with service providers, clinicians and consumers. This is the first step towards a review of standards for the sector.

The Commission has extended its consultation until 24 July 2022.

We want to understand:

·        What are the key safety and quality issues for diagnostic imaging services?

·        What does safe and good quality diagnostic imaging care look like?

·        What issues are there with the current accreditation processes?

Engaging with people who use diagnostic imaging services, providers and stakeholders will help the Commission understand what the sector looks like to those undergoing imaging, and to better understand the areas where harm occurs.

Visit our website to tell us what you think by:

1.     Completing a survey

2.     Providing a written submission

3.     Participating in an online consultation forum.

Draft standards are planned for release, and further sector consultation, during 2023.
