Access to vaccines for under 18s
The TGA has not approved the AstraZeneca vaccine for people aged under 18 and so people under 18 should not attend primary care vaccine provider sites even if they meet other Phase 1b criteria. While Pfizer is approved for those over 16, discussions are underway with the states and territories around access to this and they are currently prioritising the 1a population.
COVID-19 vaccines multicultural information
The Department of Health has published a stakeholder pack with key information about COVID-19 vaccines, tailored to multicultural communities. The pack provides translated information on the roll-out of the vaccine in Australia and the importance of continuing to practice COVID-safe behaviours.
53 Residential Aged Care Facilities in the central and eastern Sydney region have received the first dose of vaccine and six have received the second.
COVID-19 vaccine information for disability service providers
People with disability living in residential accommodation with two or more people with disability and workers providing support to them are eligible for the vaccine as part of Phase 1a. See herefor information and resources to help plan for the vaccine roll-out.
