COVID-19 vaccine for people with intellectual disability

People with intellectual disability are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 and are known to have historically low vaccine rates. GPs have a crucial role in influencing the uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine in this population.

See the updated COVID-19 Vaccination Easy-Read information on the Delta strain and the latest advice for the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Where consent for vaccination is required from a carer or guardian, or for patients who may be overwhelmed by questions at time of appointment, use the national COVID-19 consent form.
