Following the successful implementation of SafeScript NSW, NSW Health is continuing to improve the efficiency of regulation and monitoring of controlled medicines. NSW Health is developing an online system to manage authority applications which will be available in 2023. The new system will allow prescribers to submit authority applications online, track progress of their applications and reduce the turnaround time for applications.
To help inform the development of this online system NSW Health is inviting prescribers to participate in 30-minute online interviews in January and early February 2023. The purpose of the interviews is to understand the current process and prescriber experience applying for authority.
Health practitioners who do not work for NSW Health will be reimbursed for their time.
