The Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) Decision Support Tool (DST) has been developed by the Department to support appropriate mental health referrals nationally.
Local GP Dr Daniel Yeo explains how the IAR-DST can help your practice by recommending an appropriate level of mental health care that is appropriate for the individual you are working with.
This can help guide the patient to the right level of care, at the right time and improve outcomes. Watch the video here.
Workshop sessions in how to use the IAR-DST for mental healthcare are available through the CESPHN IAR Team, with CPD hours for Educational Activities and Reviewing Performance also available.
