Keep your Clinical Software up to date

Monday, 7 December 2020

General practices, its important to take the time to install software updates as soon as they become available. Installing regular updates reduces vulnerabilities and increases your business’s protection against loss of money, data and identity. Continuing to use old software versions can leave your practice open to attacks and cybercrime.

To avoid putting you practice at risk, CESPHN is encouraging all practices to update their clinical information systems (CIS) in the holiday period December through to January ready for 2021.

With new legislative changes coming into effect for Active Ingredient Prescribing (AIP) from 1 February 2021, the inclusion of active ingredients on PBS/RPBS prescriptions will be mandatory. This will require practices to update prescribing software to versions which meet these new requirements.
