Pharmacists are the most visited healthcare professional in Australia and are often the most readily available and accessible healthcare provider in regional and rural communities. However, their role in supporting patients with mental conditions in their community is often under-utilised due to various reasons including lack of knowledge and confidence. The NSW Government is working with the Pharmacy Guild of Australia NSW Branch to improve confidence and upskill pharmacists and pharmacy support staff in responding to, and assisting people with mental health conditions in their community.

The training modules and workshops are open to all NSW pharmacy staff including pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and other pharmacy support staff.
Upon successful completion of the available learning opportunities, pharmacies will be able to identify themselves as a safe space to their community.
Places are limited and priority will be given to pharmacists and pharmacy support staff who reside in regional and rural locations of NSW.
Attendees must be at least 18 years old to register for any of the training courses.
The Mental Health Community Pharmacy Programme (Mental Health CPP) is funded by the NSW Government and complimentary for all pharmacists and pharmacy support staff.
Cancellation & Refund Policy – Delegates who register for the training must complete all pre and post-requirements of the training within the designated timeframe from registration.
