From 31 July 2023 My Aged Care will no longer accept faxed referrals. General practices and community services will be able to refer via Healthlink Smartforms technology available for My Aged Care referrals since 2019.
Healthlink Smartforms are integrated with Best Practice, Genie, Medical Director, MedTech and Zedmed software. Smartforms allow users to prepopulate the form and send directly. Referrers receive an acknowledgement in real time along with reference number and receipt that can be used to follow up on referrals. Health professionals with incompatible software can use the web based MyHealthlink Portal.
If your practice does not have Healthlink account including My Healthlink Portal you can register for free.
