MyMedicare – has your general practice registered?

MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration model. It aims to formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner (GP) and primary care teams.

MyMedicare has been introduced by the Department of Health and Aged Care as part of an ongoing commitment to strengthening Medicare for all Australians

Benefits of MyMedicare

Evidence shows that seeing the same GP and healthcare team regularly leads to better health outcomes. Seeing a GP regularly and formalising the relationship a patient has with their GP and general practice through MyMedicare may lead to better health outcomes.

Registering with MyMedicare provides benefits to patients, general practices, and healthcare providers.
