The new melanoma and skin cancer clinic of the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre is a bulk bill outpatient service with no out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare-eligible patients.
The Clinic brings together a multidisciplinary team of specialist clinicians to provide coordinated, streamlined care. Patients have access to expert surgical management of melanoma and skin cancer, supported by a multidisciplinary team in radiation oncology, medical oncology, dermatology, pathology, medical imaging, hereditary cancer, oncology nursing, and supportive and palliative care.
A range of information resources are also available to patients and carers to support them in living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis. The Clinic accepts referrals for patients with suspected or confirmed melanoma or skin cancer. Clinics are available alternate Tuesdays. We accept referrals for suspected or biopsy-confirmed skin malignancy.
Patients have access to expert surgical management of melanoma and skin cancer, supported by our multidisciplinary team in radiation oncology, medical oncology, dermatology, pathology, medical imaging, hereditary cancer, oncology nursing, and supportive care.
We also provide a range of information resources for patients and carers to support them in living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.
Appointments are by clinician referrals addressed to one of our surgeons (see over page).
Please provide relevant copies of pathology, diagnostic imaging and operative reports, if available.
Dr Sean Nicklin is a recognised leader renowned for his expertise and skill as a plastic surgeon with an extensive career both in Australia and internationally. He trained in the United Kingdom in general and plastic surgery, and is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr Sarah Tolerton is a Plastic and Reconstructive Specialist Surgeon. She undertook postgraduate fellowships in Hand and Reconstructive Surgery locally and internationally in London, Rotterdam and Paris.
Dr Marc Langbart is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon. He completed his Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney before undertaking an International Microsurgical Fellowship at the prestigious Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Trust in London.
