New opportunities for paid mental health training

The CESPHN IAR-DST team have now trained over 420 GPs in how to use the Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) Decision Support Tool (DST) for mental healthcare! The IAR-DST was developed by the Department of Health to support appropriate mental health referrals and improve patient outcomes. The IAR-DST training is being rolled out nationally and GPs will be paid to attend the training* PLUS accrue CPD hours for Education Activities and Reviewing Performance.

We are offering a variety of ways to participate in the training, so there is something for everyone! On Monday 14 August we held the first face-to-face session at the CESPHN offices in Mascot and it was a great night of networking, education and discussion about mental health.
