RMS Fitness to Drive Assessment is going digital

From 31 July, NSW’s Fitness to Drive paper medical forms will be discontinued.

Transport for NSW is encouraging drivers who require a Fitness to Drive medical assessment to ask their GP, specialist or optometrist to complete the form online.

Using HealthLink’s SmartForms, the digital form makes the process easier and faster for drivers, with most medical forms being processed upon receipt. After completing the assessment, the forms are sent securely and instantly to Transport for NSW. The form is also saved directly into the patient’s file for future reference.

Practices which use Best Practice, Medical Director and Genie can take advantage of the Healthlink Smartform technology to submit RMS Fitness to Drive directly from the patient file.
MyHealthlink Portal is available for those with incompatible software solution.
