Since its launch in March 2014, the HealthPathways Sydney program has developed nearly one thousand clinical HealthPathways and referral resources. The HealthPathways Sydney team are currently investigating how to make our processes for reviewing and updating content more efficient; ensuring that pathway content remains up to date and users get the best possible experience in navigating access to local health services for their patients, with a particular focus on Diabetes content.
The participation of local general practice is vital in advancing our understanding of the use of diabetes HealthPathways content to improve clinician awareness and patient health outcomes. The project team are seeking GPs based in the Sydney Local Health District region (Central Sydney and Inner West) to provide their feedback, whether they use HealthPathways Sydney or not.
HealthPathways Sydney would like to invite all GPs (including registrars) working within the SLHD catchment to complete a short online survey to tell us about your experience using the HealthPathways Sydney website, including Diabetes content.
Participation information:
• The survey will take about 3 minutes to complete, and your responses will help us understand how HealthPathways Sydney is used and make improvements where needed.
• All feedback provided is voluntary and anonymous. Notification of participation will not be shared with the SLHD Diabetes services or other research sponsors. Non-identifiable information collected from this survey may be used for other purposes such as research or publication*.
• Complete the survey to enter a draw to win a $100 Flexi e-Gift Card – you will receive an email on completion of the survey with instructions to enter the draw.
Participants who complete the survey will be offered to complete an Expression of Interest to participate in a separate interview with the project team. This will further explore GP experiences, perceptions, and expectations when using the HealthPathways Sydney website, particularly concerning Diabetes content.
Participation in the interview is completely voluntary and will be conducted via video-conference (MS Teams) at a time to suit your preference. The interview will take approximately 40-60 minutes to complete, and those who participate in the interview will be re-imbursed at the CESPHN representation rate of $130.00 per hour.
To participate in the interview, complete the Expression of Interest at the end of the survey, or Georgina Frank (Project Lead) at 0408-273-909 or via email: georgina.frank@health.nsw.gov.au
