Adults with hepatitis C and a Medicare card who are yet to be prescribed treatment are now eligible to participate in the University of Sydney’s Motivate C project.
Motivate C is a nationwide project studying whether cash incentives will encourage more people with hepatitis C to receive treatment in primary care.
The project is approved by the Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee (2022/ETH01681)
GP practice teams, health professionals and peers can help identify eligible participants and offer them an opportunity to participate in the project.
Participants will receive payment for their time and may be randomly assigned a cash payment for commencing hepatitis c therapy. Find out more here.
