Invitation to join focus groups around pituitary services across NSW
The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) is currently undertaking a project to better understand how patients access pituitary services across New South Wales (NSW), with the aim of identifying opportunities to improve care pathways and outcomes.
As a valued GP providing frontline care, we would like to invite you to join a virtual focus group on Tuesday 27 May from 5:30 to 6:30pm, to share your experiences and perspectives on pituitary care in NSW.
Focus Group Overview
The session will bring together a group of general practitioners to discuss current referral pathways, access to services, communication between providers, and potential areas for improvement.
Key Discussion Topics
Referral Pathways and Clinical Variation: How patients are referred for pituitary care and any differences or challenges you’ve observed across regions or services.
Barriers to Access: Issues your patients face when accessing pituitary services, including wait times, logistics, health literacy, and specialist availability.
Communication and Coordination: Opportunities to enhance collaboration between primary care and specialist teams, including endocrinologists and neurosurgeons.
Service Gaps and Improvements: Your perspective on what’s missing and what could better support you and your patients.
