Eligible patients can access free low-dose CT scans through the National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP)—supporting early detection of lung cancer in high-risk Australians.

GPs are responsible for assessing eligibility and enrolling patients via the National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR).

Who is eligible?

  • Aged 50–70
  • 30+ pack-year smoking history
  • Current smoker or quit in the last 10 years
  • Asymptomatic
