Allies Against Violence

The Eastern Suburbs Domestic Violence Network is hosting Allies Against Violence, a transformative event that will delve into innovative and revolutionary approaches to addressing family violence, featuring international speaker Matt Brown, family violence survivor and author of ‘She Is Not Your Rehab,’ and a range of other presenters.

You’ll learn about practical, everyday steps you can take to create meaningful change and discover resources available to support you, wherever you are on your journey.

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence – Recovery and Healing  
A panel discussion, facilitated by CEO of Full Stop Australia, Karen Bevan, talking about recovery and healing for victim survivors of gender-based violence, and the various types of support and pathways available local to the Inner West.

City of Canada Bay Council’s 16 Days of Activism Sector Forum

This event aims to promote and provide information on community-wide change in the prevention of domestic and family violence from different experts in the field.

We will be coming together to hear from a keynote speaker, have a panel discussion with sector professionals and connect with other providers to better service the community. Our speakers will include:

Keynote speaker:

o   Moo Baulch – Director of Primary Prevention at Women’s and Girls Emergency Centre

Panel members:

o   Christine McDonald – Commander at Burwood Police Command

o   Emily Dale – Head of Advocacy at Full Stop Australia

o   Tania Smith – Executive Officer at Parramatta Women’s Shelter
