Head to Health Centres are now called Medicare Mental Health Centres
Canterbury Head to Health Centre is now called Canterbury Medicare Mental Health Centre.
Canterbury Medicare Mental Health Centre will still provide a welcoming place where everyone can access free and confidential mental health information, services and supports.
Its services will remain free, open for extended hours, and you don’t need a referral, appointment or a Medicare card.
You will notice signage at the centre and the look of communication materials will change to show the new Medicare Mental Health Centre name.
Staffed by qualified mental health professionals and people with lived experience of mental health challenges, the centre provides immediate support to people in distress, including their families and carers. It can also connect people with other support services, such as housing and employment assistance, to support them in the future.
Canterbury Medicare Mental Health Centre is located at Level 1, Suite 10, 1205 Canterbury Road, Wiley Park (NSW).
Locals who are not able to visit the centre in person can call 1800 595 212 to speak to an experienced professional to receive advice or a referral to a service that meets their needs. For more information about the Medicare Mental Health Centres visit the Department of Health’s website.
