About the Role
Sydney Local Health District’s Community Health Centres have a long and proud history of delivering care in the community including prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care services designed to improve and support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative services in Community Paediatrics (ADHD and STrIDeS Shared Care), and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the SLHD Community Paediatrics Department as required.
The Career Medical Officer will provide expert GP advice to treating clinicians in SLHD’s Specialist Team for Intellectual Disability Sydney (STrIDeS) and Community Paediatric teams and primary health care, patients and carers in relation to patients across the lifespan (childhood, adolescence and adulthood) with intellectual disability and children or adolescents with ADHD which:
