On Thursday, 19 June 2025, CESPHN hosted a well-attended webinar titled Upcoming Changes to MBS Chronic Disease Management, drawing 152 participants from across the region. The strong attendance reflects the significance of the upcoming changes for general practice and allied health professionals.
The session featured Wendy O’Meara, Practice Manager and education consultant who provided valuable insights into the new Chronic Conditions Management (CCM) Framework.
Set to commence on 1 July 2025, the new CCM Framework is designed to simplify, streamline, and modernise care arrangements for both healthcare providers and patients. Key features of the framework include:
These changes aim to support more coordinated, patient-centred care and ensure that healthcare professionals are better equipped to manage chronic conditions effectively.
