Planned Outage of Electronic Referrals to SESLHD and SLHD services

When: Thursday 1 May to Sunday 4th May 2025

What is Happening?

eHealth NSW is conducting scheduled maintenance on the Service Now platform that hosts the Electronic Referral Management System (eRMS). During this period, hospital services using eRMS will not be able to view or process e-referrals sent through the HealthLink portal.

All electronic referrals sent via HealthLink will be held until the platform is restored.

When?

From 6:00pm Thursday 1 May 2025 until 06:00am Sunday 4 May 2025.

What Services are Affected?

South Eastern Sydney LHD

All services across South-Eastern Sydney Local Health District currently receiving HealthLink e-referrals will be impacted, including:

• Prince of Wales Hospital Centralised Outpatients Department
• The Sutherland Hospital Centralised Outpatients Department
• All outpatient services at The Royal Hospital for Women (excluding Breast Clinic, ANC, Gynae, Gynae Colposcopy, Fertility, and Menopause Hub)
• Selected services at Prince of Wales Hospital receiving e-referrals, including:

• Community Palliative Care Team
  • Diabetes Centre
  • General Rehabilitation
  • Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Physiotherapy
  • Respiratory
  • Spinal Medicine

Sydney LHD

Only the following SLHD Women’s Health and RPAH Gastroenterology services receiving HealthLink eReferrals will be affected:

• Canterbury Hospital Antenatal services
• Concord Hospital Midwifery Group Practice
• Royal Prince Alfred Hospital:

• Fertility
• Gastroenterology
• Gynaecology
• IBD
• Liver
• Maternity
• Positive FOBT Assessment

All eReferral forms under the Sydney Local Health District Services will not be affected.

What Do Users Need to Know?

Access to the eReferral forms listed above will not be possible during the outage. Please defer sending non urgent referrals until Monday 5 May.

For Rapid Access/Urgent Referrals:

During the outage, each facility will implement downtime procedures for referral management. If you need to submit a Rapid Access or other clinically urgent referral, please:
