Request for Proposal: Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Navigator Service
Request for Proposal: Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Navigator Service
Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network (CESPHN) invites suitable organisations to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) to deliver the Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Navigator service for Primary Care Providers (PCPs) across the CESPHN region as part of the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) Assist program.
DFSV Assist is funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC). The program aims to build the capacity of PCPs to recognise and respond to DFV, sexual violence and child sexual abuse, to improve patient experience and outcomes. This is achieved through training provided by CESPHN and General Practitioner (GP) Educators and ongoing consultation and referral support provided by Navigators. The program has two Navigator positions, one position for DFV-related presentations and one position for patients who are impacted by sexual violence and/or child sexual abuse.
This RFP is for the implementation of the DFV Navigator service. The DFV Navigator is responsible for upskilling PCPs to effectively respond to domestic and family violence presentations in patients, provide confidential advice, secondary consultations and facilitate referrals to specialised DFV services. The DFV Navigator also acts as a system integrator, building better connections between the primary care and DFV sectors. The role of the DFV Navigator can be up to 1 FTE for up to two years. The role is primarily non-client facing.
Suitable applicants must be currently delivering DFV services within the CESPHN catchment. Government and non-government organisations are welcome to apply.
