eReferrals are electronic forms submitted through your practice software via HealthLink or via MyHealthLink portal. Upon launching Healthlink, access to eReferrals for SESLHD services can be found by selecting:  NSW Health Outpatient Referrals – South Eastern Sydney LHD

All referrals will now be processed through the Electronic Referral Management System (eRMS), which offers a more streamlined, efficient, and secure way to manage referrals across these services.

Benefits of Electronic referrals

Referrals are sent, received, and managed electronically. Sending an eReferral instead of a paper or faxed referral has multiple benefits for referrers, including:

  1. eReferrals can be accessed directly from HealthLink Portal (using the same process for Drivers License Assessments)
  2. Clinical information can be easily attached.
  3. Clear transparency from current list of services offered across SESLHD and clinicians.
  4. Referrals are sent quickly and securely.
  5. Two-way communication between referrers and hospital services enables additional information to be provided more efficiently and in timely manner.
  6. Referrers are notified via secure message of referral receipt, outcome, and triage category.
