Support the next generation of Allied Health Professionals – UNE Partnerships
University New England (UNE) invites Allied Health professionals to consider offering work placement opportunities for Year 11 – Year 12 students, who are showing an invested interest in a career in Healthcare by studying a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance.
UNE are currently searching for opportunities for students in the Sutherland Shire who are looking for opportunities in the July and September/October School holidays.
Work Placement Opportunities for year 11 – 12 students.
One effective way of encouraging young people to explore careers within Allied Health professions is by providing Year 11 – 12 students studying Certificate III in Allied Health as part of their senior schooling valuable work placement opportunities. These placements not only enhance students learning experiences but also help bridge the gap between education and the practical skills needed in the workforce.
By participating in work placements, students can:
Gain Practical Experience: Students will have the chance to observe and participate in various Allied Health roles, from physiotherapy and occupational therapy to podiatry and nutrition.
Enhance Employability Skills: Work placements help students develop vital soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. These skills are essential for success in any healthcare role and highly valued by employers.
