Electronic Referrals is further expanding across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
The implementation of eReferrals has been a successful project for SESLHD. We are looking to further expand across more services to assist you as referrers with a more streamlined approach to referring into a SESLHD outpatient services.
Over the coming months, the electronic referrals program will be deployed via a staged approach with the expectation a majority of SESLHD Outpatient services will begin to accept eReferrals, as SESLHD moves away from paper-based referral pathways. Electronic referrals will be the preferred method of accepting or submission of referrals. All referrals will be processed and managed via the electronic Referral Management System (eRMS).
eReferrals are electronic forms submitted through your practice software via HealthLink or via MyHealthLink portal.
From the Healthlink home page, please look for NSW Health Outpatient referrals – South Eastern Local Health District not via a Healthlink EDI. Any accessibility issues to SESLHD eForms, please contact Healthlink to enable access.

eReferrals can be accessed directly from HealthLink Portal (using the same process for Drivers License Assessments)
Clinical information can be easily attached.
Clear transparency from current list of services offered across SESLHD and clinicians.
Referrals are sent quickly and securely.
Two-way communication between referrers and hospital services enables additional information to be provided more efficiently and in timely manner.
Referrers are notified via secure message of referral receipt, outcome, and triage category.
