FIVE QUESTIONS is where we ask members of the community to talk about how they stay HEALTHY. At the recent Urgent Care Clinic launch on Anzac Pde in Maroubra, we caught up with Urgent Care clinic GP Dr Geoff McGrath (pictured below speaking with the Hon Matt Thistlethwaite), who shared this:
Walking is my main exercise. I did a 2 km walk and combined with other walking during the day, all up I did about 7000 steps.
2. What did you eat yesterday?
Breakfast – 3 weetbix with banana and yogurt
Lunch – cooked meal with lamb chops and veggies
Dinner – fruit, Marmite, cheese and crackers
3. When did you last see a primary health professional?
I saw my GP face-to-face about 3 weeks ago and had teleconference 1 week ago.
4. What do you do to maintain your mental health?
Usually talk to my brother who is a health professional and my wife who is a former health professional. Also, I have a couple of close colleagues that I regularly talk to.
5. What are your health goals for the next month?
Increase my walking and loose about 2kg to get back on target.
