The Making Space Program is offering a free, online, 2-hour best practice workshop on supporting individuals who are impacted compulsive acquiring (hoarding) and the associated squalor.
The workshop will cover current best practices for utilising trauma informed language, building a therapeutic relationship, empowering people to make sustainable changes and how to provide practical support for people who are impacted by compulsive acquiring (hoarding) and the associated squalor.
The Making Space Program currently has capacity for new referrals into the program.
Making Space has been designed in response to an identified need for support for people with a primary experience of compulsive acquiring.
People can access practical 1:1 support to declutter and address the impacts of compulsive acquiring, informal counselling, improvement of life skills, and a facilitated empowerment group called Buried in Treasures facilitated by an experienced case worker.
