Medicare Mental Health Centres

Medicare Mental Health Centres provide immediate support for adults experiencing distress or mental health challenges. It’s a welcoming place where everyone can access free and confidential mental health information, services, and support.

Medicare Mental Health Centres are here to help you. Whether you have experienced mental health challenges in the past of this is your first time reaching out for support, everyone is welcome.

Qualified mental health professional and people with lived experience of mental ill health work together to offer the support that is right for you. If you’re concerned about a loved one or someone in your care, Medicare Mental Health Centres are here to help.

Eligibility

Available to every adult (over 18 years) living, working, or studying in central and eastern Sydney. For all genders and cultural backgrounds. You don’ need to be an Australian citizen to access support.

You can call 1800 595 212, 8:30am to 5:00pm weekdays or drop by the Medicare Mental Health Centre. No appointment or referral is needed.

There are currently two Medicare Mental Health Centre locations in central and eastern Sydney, in Bondi and Canterbury. Further details of each centre are provided below.

BONDI MEDICARE MENTAL HEALTH CENTRE

CANTERBURY MEDICARE MENTAL HEALTH CENTRE

Phone: 1800 595 212, operating hours 8:30am – 5:00pm
Current Address: Level 1, Suite 10, 1205 Canterbury Rd, Roselands NSW 2195 (the centre will be moving to a larger site around April 2026 – address will be updated)
Centre Opening Hours: Weekdays, 8:30am – 5:00pm
