CESPHN welcomes new and returning Board directors following 2025 AGM 

Central and Eastern Sydney PHN (CESPHN) held its Annual General Meeting last Tuesday evening, bringing together the chairs of our member networks and the Board of Directors to reflect on achievements and confirm key appointments for the year ahead.

Board elections

Members re-elected Rene Pennock and Larissa Cook to the Board for a further three-year term, and welcomed Dr John Petrozzi as a newly elected director.

We also farewelled Dr Gary Nicholls who has reached tenure. We thank him for his significant contributions to CESPHN throughout his 10 years as Board Director.

Leadership roles

Rene Pennock was re-elected as Chair and Prof. Charlotte Hespe AM as Deputy Chair, continuing their leadership roles in guiding CESPHN’s strategic direction.

New and continuing appointments

The Board appointed four directors for one-year terms:

  • Sharlene Mackenzie OAM, a respected Wiradjuri community leader with extensive experience in Aboriginal health and community services.
  • Deb Willcox AM, Chief Executive Sydney LHD, continuing her contribution as an experienced health executive.
  • Dr Amandeep Hansra, a GP and Chief Clinical Adviser at the Australian Digital Health Agency
  • Wendy Hoey (PSM), Chief Executive, Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network

About our new Directors

  • Dr John Petrozzi PhD is a chiropractor and previous Chair of the Central and Eastern Sydney Allied Health Network, advocating for integrated allied health services.
  • Dr Amandeep Hansra is a recognised leader in digital health, primary care innovation and clinical governance.
  • Wendy Hoey, PSM brings extensive experience in in general and mental health services across acute, community and custodial healthcare settings.
