Job Title: PT Registered Practice Nurse – GP practice Drummoyne
Skills Experience: DMC Medical Centre is a well established, privately owned General Practice medical centre, with a fantastic positive culture and strong team based environment. We are passionate about providing the highest quality medical care for our patients and community. Our clinical team comprises of 18 GPs, and 6 nurses, who work collaboratively to strive for excellence, and provide progressive health care services. We have a very friendly team and it is crucial that any additional members to our team are a good fit for our existing practice culture in nature and in attitude.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and friendly Registered Nurse to work on a permanent part time basis. Applicants must be available Thursday 10am – 6pm, and Friday 10am – 6pm, plus one in four Saturdays 9am – 2pm. Applicants must also be able to help out with occasional relief work as needed to cover sick and holiday leave (in coordination with other nursing staff).
You will work with our dynamic team of RN’s in our well equipped treatment room and Healthier Living Clinic (HLC), completing a wide range of clinical tasks in the treatment room, and health assessments in the HLC. Whilst general practice experience is an asset, a friendly “can do” and supportive nature that will fit well with our practice culture is the most important requirement of this role. Mentoring will be provided to the right applicant if needed.
Essential Criteria:
Current RN registration with APHRA
Eligibility to work in Australia (no sponsorship is available)
Flexibility and commitment to assist with occasional holiday/leave cover
An energetic, team minded, enthusiastic, friendly “can do” personality a must
Desirable Criteria:
Venepuncture skills
General practice nursing experience
IV Infusion experience or cannulation experience
Ear microsuctioning experience
Immunisation certified
CDM (chronic disease management) experience
Lives within Sydney’s Inner West or 20km radius of the practice
