Videos explaining Medicare Urgent Care Clinic available

That S A Case For A Medicare Urgent Care Clinic 30s Video

A selection of seven videos have been released to help the community understand the difference between Urgent Care Clinics and Emergency.

Medicare UCCs make it easier to access care for urgent but not life threatening illnesses.

Urgent care is when you need medical attention for an illness or injury that can’t wait for your regular GP appointment. For example a minor infection or fracture.

Emergency or life threatening illness or injury requires immediate medical attention by an emergency department or hospital.

Patients with Medicare cards can walk in off the street and are bulk billed. Patients are triaged depending on their needs.

UCC staff follow up care with patients own GPs.
