New GP Advice Email Service from the RHW Menopause Hub

The Royal Hospital for Women (RHW) Menopause Hub has launched a new GP Advice Email Service to support primary care clinicians managing patients experiencing menopause and related health concerns.

This service provides GPs and other clinicians within the South East Sydney Hub catchment area (Statewide menopause service directory | Agency for Clinical Innovation) with access to specialist menopause advice and recommendations.

Enquiries can be submitted by email at any time to SESLHD-RHWmenohub-gpadvice@health.nsw.gov.au, with a specialist clinician from the Menopause Hub responding within 5 business days.

The service may be used to seek guidance on a range of menopause-related issues, including clinical decision-making, hormone therapy considerations, and symptom management. Generic clinical enquiries can be submitted without patient-identifiable information. For patient-specific advice, clinicians are asked to include relevant clinical details, including patient demographics, medical and gynaecological history, current medications, menopausal status, relevant investigations, and a clear clinical question.

Please note that this service is not monitored for urgent or time-critical matters. Advice provided is intended as general clinical guidance and does not replace formal referral pathways, urgent clinical assessment or specialist review where clinically indicated.
