Psychological Support Services (PSS) is open and offers free and priority access to mental health support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Central and Eastern Sydney.

Patients can access telehealth and face-to-face appointments delivered by professional clinicians who are trained in culturally safe and trauma-informed care. PSS provides a safe and welcoming space supporting care that is respectful of each patient’s experiences, needs and preferences.

The PSS program also includes access to the La Perouse model through which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients can access additional supports. The model is located at Gamay Health in La Perouse.

GP referrals can be submitted using the National Medicare Mental Health eReferral Smartform via HealthLink SmartForms in your clinical software. Allied Health Providers may submit a referral via the online eReferral form. Include “PSS” and provide all relevant clinical information to support timely triage and allocation. If you are referring to the La Perouse service, please include “La Perouse” in the referral form.

For program information, visit the CESPHN PSS webpage. For referral or eligibility enquiries, call the CESPHN Mental Health Intake team on 1300 170 554 or email at mentalhealth@cesphn.com.au.
