This Spirometry Training Course provides comprehensive training in the application, measurement and interpretation of expiratory spirometry in general practice. The six-hour interactive workshop includes a practical, hands-on component to allow participants to apply their new knowledge in a practical setting.

Learning outcomes:

• Identify the clinical indications where spirometry is recommended

• Demonstrate the ability to correctly perform a spirometry test, using role play and peer review

• Interpret spirometry results to differentiate between respiratory conditions, such as asthma and COPD

• Assess your own practice quality assurance procedures for spirometry

This complimentary course is open to GPs and practice nurses.

• Holiday Inn Sydney Airport , Cnr Bourke Road & O’Riordan Street, Mascot 2020
• Training will be held in the Hudson Fysh Function Room
• The hotel is a 3-minute walk from Mascot Train Station
• Free street parking is available on Coward Street and surrounding streets.
• $20 all day parking available onsite at the hotel.

Accreditation/ CPD Points:

• Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP): Allocated 40 Category 1 points in the QI&CPD Program for the 2020-2022 triennium.
• Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM): Accredited by ACRRM as an educational event for 30 PRDP points.
• Completion of this educational activity entitles eligible participants to claim up to 6 APNA CPD hours

Places are strictly limited for this workshop – please note that this is an In-person workshop running on 8.30pm-4.00pm on a Saturday . Should there be sufficient interest, we may look to run an additional course in early 2023.
