Join us online for our General Practitioner Grand Rounds in partnership with St George Hospital.

A penicillin allergy label leads to worse outcomes from infections and higher rates of resistant organisms. However, antibiotic allergy labels are often incorrect with 9 out of 10 patients reporting a penicillin allergy not actually being allergic on further testing.

The topics covered will include current updates on the assessment, documentation and management of antibiotic allergies, and pathways we implement to de-label patients from their antibiotic allergies and improve antibiotic use.

It will be delivered by an Infectious Diseases physician and lead of the antibiotic allergy service at St George Hospital.

Presented by Dr Richard Sullivan – Staff Specialist Infectious Diseases SES STG Aged & Integrated Care
