Lower back pain is a significant health issue in Australia, affecting around 4 million people, or 16% of the population. It is the third leading cause of disease burden, accounting for 4.3% of the total disease burden in 2023. In general practice managing lower back pain is a common and crucial aspect of patient care, with millions of consultations each year.

Please join us on Saturday for the multidisciplinary upskilling workshop on management options for lower back pain, developed in partnership with the sports specialists from The Stadium Clinic. Part of the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse CPD series

Didactical presentations:

Presented by: Dr Etienne du Preez, Sport and Exercise Physician, current Club Doctor for the Sydney Swans AFL club

and Multidisciplinary Team from The Stadium Clinic

This event will feature presentations and small group workshops from:

sports physicians

physiotherapists demonstrating effective exercises

radiologist discussing injection options

insights from a pain physician or pain psychologist on various aspects of pain management.
