Impact of DV during the Pandemic – an update
This significant by-product of the COVID-19 pandemic lock-down restrictions has seen a marked increase in family violence cases. Unable to escape, many victims are finding themselves the casualties of escalated anxiety levels, financial pressures and separation from support networks.
Addressing family violence in the primary care setting will always be complex and confronting, but in this new world of telehealth and decreased face-to-face consultations, how do we as GPs identify and help patients at risk of abuse?
CESPHN are proud to present Christina Antonas and Mireille Schlesinger to discuss the complexities of dealing with family violence and tips for how to manage in the primary care setting.
Target Audience: All health professionals working within the CESPHN region
