CESPHN will be providing a briefing on the establishment and operation of the Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Maroubra. 

There will be an opportunity to: 

• Ask questions on referral pathways into and out of the clinic
• Discuss how the clinic will interact and communicate with local general practices
• Identify how this service will work to help support the health needs of the local community in partnership with local general practices and other primary care providers
• Discuss how local primary health professionals can be involved in supporting this clinic

The aim of the Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) in Maroubra is to ease pressure on local hospital emergency departments. The clinic will give those in our community more options to see a healthcare professional when they have an urgent, but not life-threatening, need for care and are unable to access their usual GP or other care provider.
