Liver disease is rising fast—and general practice is on the front line.

In the Central and Eastern Sydney PHN (CESPHN) region, over 25,000 people live with chronic hepatitis B, 6,000 with hepatitis C, and liver cancer rates are among the highest in the country. Yet many remain undiagnosed, untreated, or unmonitored—especially in communities facing cultural, linguistic, or socioeconomic barriers.

This webinar will equip GPs and primary care teams with the tools to identify, assess, and manage liver disease risk factors—right from the consulting room.

This session will explore cirrhosis and HCC surveillance, AOD-related liver disease, MAFLD assessment, and improving hepatitis B and C care in general practice.

  3. Application of recommendations regarding assessment of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in primary care
  4. Identify areas within General practice that patient outcomes could be improved with respect to Hepatitis B&C testing and treatment & monitoring including HCC surveillance.
