Join us for an online webinar that will examine the needs of people with Down syndrome in health and how healthcare professionals can work together with people with Down syndrome to improve their health outcomes through knowledge and inclusive communication 

The presentation will: 

• Examine the current literature outlining the need for reform in health for people with intellectual disability.  
• Recall common co-occurring medical concerns for people with Down syndrome 
• Demonstrate the importance of language when referring to the person with Down syndrome 
• Hear lived experiences of healthcare in Australia today 
• Investigate effective communication to facilitate better health outcomes for people with Down syndrome
