Central and Eastern Sydney PHN are urging everyone working in general practice and primary care to join us for an urgent pandemic infection prevention and control update, presented by Margaret Jennings, a microbiologist, antimicrobial, infection prevention and sterilisation educator.

The delta strain of the COVID-19 is much more contagious, and can be transmitted through ‘fleeting contact’, therefore stopping the spread of COVID is of the upmost priority.

This will be very informative and practical update for practices on their role in protecting their staff and patients. The discussion will be led by Margaret Jennings and there will be the opportunity for question time with Margaret, Dr Brendan Goodger, GM Primary Care Improvement, CESPHN and Jan Sadler, Manager, Practice Support and Development.

Topics:

• How do we improve our triage process and still see patients whilst reducing contact and risks to ourselves.  
• It is important to see patients – some may need to go to hospital from your clinic, some may need a script, and some have may not have seen a doctor for over 12 months.  

Target audience: health professionals in the CESPHN region
