The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) invites general practitioners and allied health professionals to attend a feedback and education session on the NDIS Access Request Form (ARF). The NDIA will consult with health professionals and participants on improvements to the ARF, ensuring the form is easy for potential participants and their practitioners to understand and complete.
This is an opportunity to have your say and have your NDIS access questions answered by NDIA employees.
The NDIA is making significant changes to the NDIS in 2019 to help people with disability get the supports they need to achieve their goals. This is called the NDIS pathway reform, or the Pathways Program which is intended to support participants and improve people’s individual experience with the NDIS.
In a recent CESPHN survey about the NDIS, health professionals raised a number of questions and concerns about the Access process.
This Feedback & Education session is available to all health professionals. NDIA representatives will present and seek feedback on a newly redesigned ARF. Feedback will be used to further improve the ARF.
This session is valuable to ensure eligible participants meet access and that health professionals are confident to support them in this goal.
