CESPHN together with the Sydney Institute for Women, Children and their families invites GPs, practice nurses and allied health to attend a comprehensive Child Health and Wellbeing and Paediatrics update on Saturday 14 March 2020.

Speakers include:

  1.  A/Prof Elisabeth Murphy (Senior Clinical Advisor for Child and Family Health, Health Services Policy Branch, Ministry of Health NSW) – The First 2000 Days Framework. 
  2. Dr Harsha Gowda (Paediatrican, The Canterbury Hospital) – Assessment of the Unwell Child – Early recognition and management of children who may be seriously ill.
  3. Dr Natalie Ong (Developmental Paediatrician, Child Development Unit, Children's Hospital Westmead) – Engaging Primary Care in Well Child Checks through the use of the child Personal Health Record.
  4. SLHD Child and Family Health Services, SESLHD Child, Youth and Family Services, Dr Aline Smith (local GP) – Interactive case studies showcasing identification and management of childhood developmental concerns including delayed speech, behavioural concerns etc.

The event will be held from 12.00 pm at the PHN office in Mascot and is proudly supported by Sydney and South Eastern Sydney Local Health Districts.
