Central and Eastern Sydney PHN (CESPHN) would like to invite Practice Nurses working within our region to join us for an evening of connection, collaboration and conversation. Welcome drink on arrival and dinner will be served.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow nurses, share experiences, exchange ideas, and build valuable professional relationships whilst learning about Implantable cardiac devices – including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) devices, and cardiac monitoring devices.

As increasing numbers of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices are managed in the community, it is essential that practice nurses understand the purpose of these devices, how they function, and the key aspects of ongoing patient care.

This presentation will provide an overview of current cardiac implantable devices, with a particular focus on pacemakers, newer pacing modalities, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators.
