Domestic and family violence (DFV) is a public health issue. It can significantly
impact person’s physical and mental health and wellbeing. Intimate partner violence, in particular, is one of the largest contributors to the burden of disease for women aged 15-54.
GPs and other primary care health practitioners often receive disclosures, and many have told us they don’t have the knowledge or confidence to respond.
Join us for a webinar to learn about the signs a patient may present with indicating DFV, how to ask the right questions, how to respond to disclosures; and how to support the patient.
Participants will be introduced to the Domestic and Family Violence Navigator who can provide ongoing support to practitioners with patients affected by DFV.
