Primary health care providers have an important role to play in supporting patients experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV). It is estimated a full-time GP unknowingly sees five patients per week experiencing DFV and a health professional may be the only person a victim-survivor has contact with. This training will provide insight into the specific needs of CALD patients experiencing DFV and how health professionals can support them.

Some prior knowledge of domestic and family violence is recommended. If you wish to attend a session covering an introduction to DFV, please contact Lauren Gecuk on dfvassist@cesphn.com.au
