Triage in General Practice Workshop. Presented by Simon Gould – Medics for Life

Learning Outcomes for this workshop are:

• Identify the medico-legal issues facing general practice in relation to the allocation of patient appointments.
• Outline the triage skills needed to facilitate patient prioritisation in general practice, including those relating to telephone calls, procedures in the waiting room and interaction with the general practice team.
• Describe the various outcomes that can result from triage in general practice using various tools and the rationale behind them.
• Outline the importance and requirements for documentation in triage (patient prioritisation) in general practice.

This workshop is relevant to General Practice staff including Nurses, Practice Managers, Practice Staff.
