Triage in general practice workshop. Presented by Medics for Life
Learning outcomes for this workshop are:
- Identify the medico-legal issues facing general practice in relation to the allocation of patient appointments.
- Outline the triage skills needed to facilitate patient prioritisation in general practice, including those relating to telephone calls, procedures in the waiting room and interaction with the general practice team.
- Describe the various outcomes that can result from triage in general practice using various tools and the rationale behind them.
- Outline the importance and requirements for documentation in triage (patient prioritisation) in general practice.
This workshop is relevant to general practice staff including nurses, practice managers, practice staff as well as allied health professionals and staff.
