Thank you for your contributions at our first “While You Wait” handout Testing Workshop. As discussed, we are holding a second workshop in January 2022 to finish up our work.
To help prepare for our next workshop, I have answered some key questions below:
Who is facilitating the workshop?
The Workshop will be led by Kath Thorburn with support from a lived experience research assistance.
Wilhelmina Brown from CESPHN will be providing administrative support for the event.
What is expected of participants?
Participants will attend two online workshops. Each workshop will run for 2 hours with a scheduled comfort break.
What is the handout we will be testing?
During the workshop, participants will be testing a handout designed for use in appointments with GPs to help patients prepare for their first mental health specialist appointment. We will also look at an accompanying resource for GPs.
How will I be reimbursed for my time?
All participants will be reimbursed in line with the CESPHN Remuneration Policy. The current hourly rate is $130. After the workshop, you will need to submit an invoice to Wilhelmina Brown. Wilhelmina can provide an easy template and help you fill it out if you need it.
What if I have IT troubles?
If you drop-out or lose your WIFI connection:
1. Attempt to reconnect. Ensure all devices have power.
…and if that doesn’t work…
2. Try a different source of WIFI if possible (e.g., phone hotspot)
…and if that doesn’t work…
3. Use your phone to call in to the workshop – ph. 8015 6011 Meeting ID: 874 6989 1917
…and if that doesn’t work…
4. Call either Wilhelmina or Sain
Wilhelmina 9304 8641
Sain 9304 8752
What if I need to take a break?
If you need to take a break during the workshop, please feel free to step away.
We encourage you to check in with your regular support systems if you start feeling distressed or call one of the many helplines such as Life Line on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue 1200 224 636
We will also keep the meeting room open after we finish if you would like to stay back and chat to us.
