CESPHN is committed to supporting high-quality, ethical research that responds to local needs and translates into improved care integration and primary care practice across our region. We prioritise research that addresses identified health needs and evidence gaps, with a strong focus on reducing inequities and improving outcomes for priority populations.
We work in partnership with universities, institutions, researchers, and primary care and allied health providers to foster a collaborative research culture that builds capacity, strengthens connections, and supports professional development.
The CESPHN Research Strategy 2024–2027 provides guidance to researchers and stakeholders on our research vision and priorities, ensuring that all research we support aligns with our strategic goals, increases translation into practice and policy, and contributes to high-quality primary care across Central and Eastern Sydney.

CESPHN welcomes research requests from external researchers whose projects align with our research vision, priorities, and strategic goals.
How we support research
Eligibility
Submit a Request
To submit a request, we ask that you please complete our Research Request Form and a research officer will be in touch. We are unable to facilitate research requests without a completed request form.
Our Process
We aim to reach a decision within two weeks of submission; however, some requests may take up to four weeks depending on the volume and complexity of requests received.
Once you submit a research request form, your application will proceed through the
